First Time Guests

Helpful information for first time guests

Mission Bay RV Resort is an iconic destination located on the world’s largest aquatic park, Mission Bay. We have been welcoming guests for over 40 years! Many guests return year after year to enjoy this calm and quiet retreat on De Anza Cove. If you are planning your first visit to our RV resort, we’ve gathered some things to know before arriving.

Atmosphere

Mission Bay RV Resort is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the San Diego weather. We are a quiet resort for those who want to spend time unwinding in a calm and tranquil atmosphere.

If you are looking for a more vibrant scene, all guests of Mission Bay RV Resort have access to the amenities and activities at our sister resort across Rose Creek, Campland on the Bay! They have organized activities such as bingo, a concert series during the summer and a Cantina to grab food and cocktails.

Campsites

Our campsites are all pavement. You may want to bring a rug or mat to place outside your RV door. Mission Bay RV Resort has been welcoming campers for over 40 years. It was built when RV and campers were much smaller than they are today. This means our sites may be narrower than what you are used to. Be sure to input your rig size when making a reservation so we can match you up with the right site.

Wifi

We have free Wi-Fi that is available for light web surfing. Some campers have issues receiving the wifi within their RVs. Bring your laptop outdoors for a better signal – enjoying the San Diego weather is an extra bonus! Feel free to bring a booster if you need strong Wi-Fi inside your RV.

De Anza Cove Cleanup

Our team is working hard to secure approval from the Coastal Commission to safely remove the abandoned mobile homes surrounding our resort, repair the bike and pedestrian paths, among other improvements. Despite unavoidable delays caused by the pandemic, our team has been working tirelessly to move this project forward as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience.

Checking In

We look forward to your arrival. Make sure you have your reservation number handy, ID and credit card used for the reservation when checking-in. If you need special accommodations, please let us know prior to your arrival. Call us at 877-219-6900 or email us at reservations@missionbayrvresort.com. We are happy to help!

Things to Do

Within steps of your RV site you will find De Anza Cove’s sandy beach to enjoy the calm waters of the bay. Mission Bay has an iconic pedestrian and bike path that surrounds the entire bay.

Our new pool and spa is expected to open late March 2022. It will be the perfect place to take a dip and catch some rays.

Campland amenities and activities are available to all Mission Bay RV Resort guests and include bingo, Cantina, ice cream parlor, watersport, bike and surrey cart rentals. Check out the full activities calendar here.

San Diego has many world-renowned attractions, all within a short distance of the resort. Check out our attractions page to get the scoop.

Things to Bring

Many campers bring stand-up paddle boards, kayaks and bicycles to explore the bay with! We have convenience items such as ice and firewood for sale at the front desk. Head across to Campland across the bridge to shop at the Market, where you can find groceries, snacks, RV supplies and more.

Pet Policy

We love our furry friends! Please keep your dog on leash at all times. Dogs are not allowed on the beach from 9am to 6pm during the summer (9am to 4pm in winter). Be sure to pick-up after Fido or else we will have unhappy campers! The pet limit for daily/weekly guests is 3 (extended stay guests is 2). Please note, we do not allow Pitbulls, Staffordshire and Bull Terriers, American Bullies and Bulldogs, Rottweilers, Doberman Pinschers, Wold Hybrids, Mastiffs or other dogs that management considers aggressive or uncontrollable. View our full pet policy here.

Extended Stay Guests

We have many extended stay guests year-round. We love our community that calls Mission Bay their “second home”!
